Bamburi Forest Trails is located on the Mombasa – Malindi Road. It is open daily from 8:00am to 6:00pm daily.
The Bamburi Forest Trails was initially started as a one million tree project in 1986 where there was “barren” land i.e. land where mining had been done in stages but went only as far as 4 meters deep.
Bamburi Forest Trails provide an exciting outdoor venue for those looking for leisure, health or cool ambience options. These include:
- 4 nature trails routes. The leisure walk approximately 3.6km enables the visitor to see these alternating landscapes from empty quarries to lush forest, lakes, streams, palm groves and plantations of indigenous trees. Visitors have the option of coming with their own bikes or renting out some at the site.
